Music of the Plants and nature conservation

Aug 03, 12 Music of the Plants and nature conservation

Ashok Khosla, President of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) shares in the discovery of Music of the Plants, technology to hear plants sing! Watch this video for explanation and song, from the IUCN COP15 event in the “elefant house” of the Copenhagen Zoo.

Khosla reminds us of the importance of emotion in eco-movements, “The conservation community has to bring heart and soul into the process of conservation if it is going to succeed. We have the brains, knowledge, and brawn, but if life on earth is going to be saved, it’s going to be because we actually have a relationship with it.”

  1. Greetings. I have been interested in this research for sometime now. Lately, I’ve been thinking i would like to also interact with plants in this way. Is there anyway for me to obtain one of your “U1″ devices, so that I may try this too?
